this is a master copy of Titian's painting Bacchus and Ariadne
it was one of three large projects for my 2-dimensional foundations class. there are areas in this one that should have been developed further, but i really just ran out of time. if there's a more appropriate category for this, please let me know...
medium: charcoal and really expensive paper. seriously.
i definitely agree. did you spot the horse (?) head on the ground to the right of the boy? in the original, i mean, it's not in mine. i didn't spot it until it was too late (i only had a low-quality black and white version to work from)
